KRAMER UNIVERSITY
I knew virtually nothing about recording, mixing, or producing a record when I sent (via Dean Wareham) a group of home-made garage-band demos to Kramer, the legendary producer (Galaxie 500, Low) and musician (Bongwater, Butthole Surfers) in the early part of 2019. To my amazement and delight, Kramer was all in. He mixed, coproduced, and mastered my first two albums, Here We Are and Yearbook, as well as several standalone singles. In this process, I received a comprehensive education in recording and production—not to mention musicianship—that has served me ever since.
