“Ambitions” is a single from Yearbook whose lyrics were pulled directly from my senior high school yearbook—namely, the personal “ambitions” listed beside the photo of each graduating senior. This video was completed over the course of one intense day of filming at my alma mater, North Carroll High School in Hampstead, Maryland, which was closed in 2018 due to declining enrollment. Shot and codirected by Charlie Theobald, “Ambitions” was by far the most ambitious, and in many ways, most rewarding, music video I’d made up to that point.
