For this limited edition, I asked Brooklyn-based artist Steve Keene, perhaps best-known for his iconic covers for albums by Pavement, The Apples in Stereo, and Silver Jews, to paint seven different covers of the Midterms EP on chipboard sleeves. The 50 paintings include Steve’s interpretations of the EP’s original cover photograph (by Tom Krueger) along with six images, each corresponding to one track on this release, which contains a clear vinyl lathe-cut 10-inch record and a four-color insert/lyric sheet.
