Access Contemporary Music is a nonprofit organization, founded and directed by composer Seth Boustead, which is devoted to integrating musical activity into everyday life. It is highly regarded for its support for contemporary composers and promotion of new classical music. The organization’s first compilation CD features work it commissioned over the years from seven contemporary composers. I was excited to incorporate a painting (Fuji, 2018) by Penn Eastburn, an emerging artist based in New York, into the package design, which included a six-page booklet of liner notes.
