The year 2024 was a very full one for Private, the series of images I’ve taken since 2018 documenting the off-limits areas in commercial art galleries. My book Private, a collection of these photographs, was published by Mirrorical Press, and work from the series was exhibited in New York and Los Angeles (the latter in conjunction with Frieze LA—whose VIP preview was the site of a related performance piece). The series also yielded a limited-edition single-channel video and a related evening of screenings, performances, and readings at Brooklyn’s Public Records.
