Mina Badie, pictured here, is the daughter of the screenwriter Barbara Turner (1936–2016), who was a trustee of the Esopus Foundation from 2003 to 2012, and a good friend of mine for years before that. Barbara took this photograph of Mina, an actor and educator who also created the first voicemail message for the Esopus Foundation in 2003, holding her just-opened copy of Esopus 11 in the fall of 2008.
