Published by Publicsfear Press Ltd., Fall 1993. Format: Saddle-stitched art zine, 8.5 by 11 inches, 88 pages.

The third and final issue of publicsfear included artists’ projects by Kerri Scharlin, Bill Burns, and Alix Pearlstein; a five-panel foldout, Acronym Alphabet, created by Douglas Coupland (Generation X), Perry Hoberman’s musings on karaoke; a critical essay on Andy Warhol’s Society Period by regular contributor Gareth Jones; a diaristic essay (with photographs by Philip Perkis) by artist Cyrilla Mozenter, and an interview with musician Kim Gordon by my coeditor Pamela A. Ivinski. The issue concluded with a “Haiku invitational,” which garnered poems from the likes of Ed Paschke, Peter Schjeldahl, Joseph KosuthElizabeth Peyton, Taylor Mead, Nancy Dwyer, and Paul Bartel.

The issue’s front and back covers featured photographs by Philip-Lorca DiCorcia.
