Published by Publicsfear Press Ltd., Spring 1993. Format: Saddle-stitched art zine, 8.5 by 11 inches, 72 pages.
Publicsfear 2 appeared in the early spring of 1993, and presented artists’ projects by Meg Cranston, Matthew Higgs, and Rirkrit Tiravanija. Other contents included “Confessions of a Rock Critic“ by Pamela A. Ivinski (which The New York Times called “an academic-minded deconstruction of Madonna that tweaks academic deconstructions of Madonna”); Gareth Jones’s “Real Life in Maracaibo,“ a layered take on a series of work incorporating found photographs by General Idea; “Angus Trumble on Enjoying the Psychodrama of Living in Australia”; and an interview by Pamela and myself with the filmmaker Stacy Cochran. The issue closed with a group of “New York City Emergency Room Stories,” with contributions from doctors, nurses, and patients, including artist Richard Phillips.
