The singer-songwriter Nina Nastasia asked me to design a chapbook for her Winter 2023 concert tour that would serve as a companion volume to her acclaimed 2022 album Riderless Horse (Temporary Residence Records). It included lyrics to the record’s songs; photographs of the LP’s recording process; and a series of drawings by Nastasia, as well as other photos of Nastasia’s late partner, Kennan Gudjonsson, and the myriad items in the personal archive he left behind.
