Esopus celebrated the release of its 24th issue in the New York Public Library’s Sue and Edgar Wachenheim III Trustees Room on Tuesday, May 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. The more than 200 attendees included contributors to the issue such as Ann Goldstein, Clayton Patterson, and Michelle Elligott, as well as a number of the magazine’s past contributors, trustees, subscribers, and colleagues. The evening not only served to launch the issue, it also celebrated the Esopus Foundation’s partnership with the NYPL, which included “Public Access”—an ongoing series in Esopus whose inaugural installment appeared in the 24th issue—as well as a range of events that took place at NYPL branches throughout the city over the course of the next several years.
