BookCourt, Brooklyn, NY, May 21, 2016

In front of a packed house at Brooklyn’s BookCourt (which sadly closed its doors in 2019), I had the pleasure of conducting a conversation with the celebrated Norwegian author Karl Ove Knausgaard (My Struggle) about “On the Value of Literature,” his 5,000-word essay that appeared as a removable 16-page chapbook in Esopus 23. After the talk, Knausgaard also took questions from the audience about his writing process, and the evening ended with a book-signing.
